Senior portraits may not have all of the hype that weddings do, but I think they are so sentimental and sweet. Also, it’s a great way to showcase your individual style. You’re able to add a little more flair than what most traditional schools offer with their standard senior photoshoots. If you want to stick out from the rest, I definitely recommend getting your senior portraits professionally done!
Last fall I got the opportunity to capture some senior portraits for Dalton, whose parents are family friends. Dalton loves the mountains, is an avid runner, and loves his dog. Two of those three things we have in common, and running is not one of them 😉 We wanted to incorporate his passions in this session and I think we did a pretty good job accommodating that. His dog, Annie, was a sweetie, and being that I’m a dog lover myself, we had a ball.
Normally my portrait sessions offer a few wardrobe changes, but Dalton changed quite a few times. He was lucky enough to have a wide variety of colleges to choose from – so why not wear a shirt from each? However, ironically his future alma mater (Alabama) was one we didn’t have a shirt for. Although it was a chilly and windy day in Blowing Rock, Dalton (and Annie) were troopers for his senior portraits. I had such a great time catching up with him and his family, an afternoon in the high country is an afternoon well spent!
