Fall in the North Carolina mountains is one of my favorite times of year. The golden hour afternoon light is enough to make my heart sing. And when you have mountains in the background, you quite literally have the sound of music. Asheville is one of my favorite mountain towns, it offers the best of everything. With impeccable views, amazing places to visit, and a trendy downtown, what’s not to love? When my clients Callie and Trent told me they wanted to have a Biltmore House engagement session, I said yes!
Callie and Trent chose the Biltmore House because the grounds have endless options for photo worthy locations, and it was dog friendly (you’ll see why that’s important soon). We were able to walk all over the property, which of course was a dream for me as a photographer. We explored the house itself, the rooftop terrace, the gardens, and all the winding paths throughout. Even though we were there in the late fall and things aren’t blooming, the landscapers still do an amazing job with design. Everything was still stunning. It was such a cozy fall afternoon, and I loved every minute of our adventure there!
This couple was so fun, I loved having them in front of my camera! I loved their different outfits, one was more causal while the other one looked like they were ready for a fancy dinner out. Their energy and love for one another was palpable, and they were having so much fun it’s like I almost wasn’t even there. When I shoot engagements, my job is to get you to feel comfortable in front of a camera. While I am giving tips and advice, I want it to feel like you two are the only ones around in your own love bubble.
Before I mentioned the Biltmore being dog friendly, well that’s because Callie and Trent’s dogs joined the fun! Ruger and Remi were such sweeties, and they did such a good job being well behaved and photogenic. They certainly got lots of camera time and snuggles from mom and dad. I had such a good time at the Biltmore House with this awesome couple and their fur babies!
