Nothing makes me more happy then when one of my couples wants to adventure to the mountains for their session. Shanda & Chris were up for anything & weren’t afraid to do a small amount of hiking to get to these beautiful locations.

Everyone knows that North Carolina is hot & humid in June, we were so lucky to head to the mountains on the day of their engagement session because the temperature dropped at least 20 degrees. We had rain showers on and off, we actually had a huge downpour about 30 minutes before their session was supposed to start. Luckily, the storms stayed to the south of us and we never got rained on, you can actually see it raining in the background of a few of the photos.

We had so much fun during Shanda & Chris’ engagement session we hiked, we laughed, we dodged thunderstorms and the hot weather, minus a little humidity. Not only are they a gorgeous couple, but that view just tops it off.

Their proposal story is so sweet, I love how Chris proposed to Shanda. He took her to Romare bearden Park in Uptown Charlotte for a simple, but sweet proposal. He put the gorgeous ring inside her favorite book “Beauty & the Beast”. That’s not only heartfelt, but romantic.
