It’s always fun getting to mix it up and do a family session. There’s something about the summer and evening thunderstorms that makes a photographer a little nervous, but in the end we were lucky and the pop up storms went around us. I feel like most of my sessions involve dodging the rain showers.

I was excited to head over to Lake Norman State Park and shoot this sweet family. I have known them for quite a few years and they told me that they love spending time on the water, so a lake side session just made perfect sense.
