Our state is full of some awesome small towns, and I love getting any opportunity to explore new places with my clients. Earlier this spring, I had the privilege of capturing Jessie and Matt’s Winston Salem engagement session at a location that was new to me – Tanglewood Park in Clemmons, NC. When you look on a map, you’ll see that Clemmons isn’t far from Winston Salem – in fact it’s less than 10 minutes out. Shooting here was a first for me and I loved it!
A few weeks prior to this Winston Salem engagement session, there was a cold snap. This means some of the blooms that started making their appearance didn’t quite make it. With that said, we wish we would have had a more blooms for our backdrop, but these two made the most of it! To make things even better, they brought their pup, Finn! He was the absolute cutest little thing, and cannot wait for his parents to get married!
Jessie and Matt were so laid back, chill, and up for anything. Picnics are something they enjoy, so they really wanted to incorporate that into their session. Certain areas of the garden gave us major Biltmore meets Italy vibes – it was so beautiful! The skies ended up being overcast, but Jessie & Matt absolutely loved their session and how well I captured their personalities and love together. Hearing those words makes my heart sing! I can not wait for their October wedding at Southern C’s Farm later this year!
Interested in seeing more of my engagement sessions? I’d love for you to check them out here!
