It has been almost 2 months since I photographed Alyssa & Josiah’s engagement session, my oh things have changed in 2 months, but what has changed is how fabulous these two are & that they ABSOLUTELY rocked their engagement session! I mean I’m only slightly obsessed! I have been wanting to do a session in the snow for so long & fortunately for us there was still a tad bit of snow left in the mountains for their session! These two were so great it was windy & cold, but if they were cold they didn’t let it show!
This March session feels more like a January/February session, sometimes winter sessions might feel dreary & gray, BUT this session is the EXACT opposite it’s warm, bold, vibrant, and fun It has the winning combination of mountains, snow & sunny glow you seriously can’t go wrong with that! We snuck up to Linville on a Saturday and thankfully even though it was a tad windy & cold it was so sunny and beautiful after hiking to one of my favorite spots we headed over to a new spot I have been wanting to shoot at and captured Grandfather Mountain in the back of a few of their photos. I’ll even let you in on a little secret we did a few cute cuddly campfire type shots at the end & I was losing light quickly & my flash was in my car, but I used the flashlight on my phone to provide a little glow (ingenious tip for those photographers out there) It created an artsy film look that I loved!
I think it’s pretty clear how much fun we all had, their love & playfulness shines through in all of their photos! Alyssa’s dress was also STUNNING and it went so perfectly with the scenery!! I feel so lucky to have been able to capture this precious time in their lives and I hope y’all enjoy this session because I know I sure did!
Take a peek & tell me what you think below!
