It feels like we have been trying to get this engagement session in for a month now and that’s probably because we have been. Between the crazy mountain weather and the hurricanes we have had to reschedule this session numerous times. One of the hardest parts of my job is playing meteorologist and trying to decide what the weather is going to do & then factoring in the mountain weather makes it 10x harder.
We attempted to do a sunrise session in the mountains, but between the fog, zero visibility & the rain we had to reschedule again for later that afternoon. We ended up shooting at Murray’s Mill where Hanna & Kyle got engaged. The weather was beautiful & we had a gorgeous sunset. So in the end I think it worked out perfectly. I’m so glad these two stuck it out with me through all of this crazy weather.
How they Met:
Hanna & Kyle actually met through Hanna’s twin brother when they were sophomores in high school. High school sweethearts! 🙂
How he proposed:
I love that Kyle had his sister help in the proposal. His sister owns a t-shirt company and they all thought they were going to Murray’s Mill to model some t-shirts for her & take photos for her website. Hanna was helping model & his sister asked her to turn around & there was Kyle down on one knee. Not only is that super sweet, but what an awesome surprise.
I had so much fun getting to know these two & I can’t wait for their spring wedding at The Providence Cotton Mill in April!
Gorgeous gorgeous couple! I absolutely love the way he proposed. High school sweethearts to lifelong partners. I wish them nothing but success. Beautiful session.
Aw Thank you for the kind words!
Playing meteorologist is never easy, weather apps are so wishy washy!
Their engagement story is so adorable, my cousin got married at Murray’s Mill, it’s a beautifully simple location.
These photos are GOREGOUS!
It is seriously one of the hardest parts of the job. Murray’s Mill is a great location for anything, I love it! And thank you so much for your kind words!
I love when it all works out in the end!! Gorgeous sunset – and that location is amazing!!! Congratulations Hannah and Kyle!
Yes, me too! Thank you so much!
I definitely understand having to play things by ear because of the weather, but the reschedulings worked out here because these images are just so romantic and perfect!
Aw thank you so much!
Wow this is beautiful! Totally worth the struggles to get there 🙂 I love the colors and tones in these photos and you captured their love beautiful. (Also so cool including their background story. Nothing like a good proposal!)
What a beautiful couple! Wow you so captured their love and affection! The lighting for the sunset pictures really give such a glow to them! I mean they are already glowing lol
Lovely use of natural light!!! Beautiful!
