I met Kala & Reg at local wedding venue’s open house through a mutal friend in the wedding industry. Turns out Kala & Reg are also wedding photographers! I’m so happy that I was introudced to them & that they asked me to shoot their maternity photos!

They are two of the sweetest & funniest people to hang out with! I was so excited when Kala said she wanted to shoot her maternity session in the mountains (because if you haven’t figured it out yet, I love the mountains & love photographing there!) We were supposed to shoot at this gorgeous overlook at Rough Ridge, but wouldn’t you know it rained that day & it was so foggy! It was clear at the bottom of the trail & by the time we got to the overlook it was so foggy you couldn’t see past the rock.

So we went with Plan B go to a lower elevation, that plan was working out fine until the fog seemed to have followed us. It was now foggy at Thunderhill Overlook. We were literally chasing blue skies! We decided to go for it anyways and I think we managed to do just fine. We may have not gotten as many jaw dropping mountain views like we wanted, but it still turned out beautifully.

Kala was absolutely stunning – her hair & makeup were on point & that hair piece was fit for a greek goddess (which I kind of think is the look & feel we ended up getting with the fog and I’m not hating it one bit)!
