It may be January, but with these colder temperatures and shorter days, I’m already dreaming of summer! Summer weddings are popular here in NC, particularly in the month of June. So today I’m sharing Madison and Tom’s North Carolina summer wedding with you that took place last June just west of Charlotte. The weather on their wedding day was exceptional for June, and I’m sure that was attributed to them honoring the tradition of “burying the bourbon”. No rain in sight!
Madison and Tom got married in their family church, First United Methodist Church in Cherryville, NC. I loved Madison’s gown! It was simple yet elegant with a sparkling belt around her waist. The design of her dress set the precedent for the entire day: classic and timeless. Between the ceremony and reception, the bridal party rode on a trolley and we were sure to snap lots of photos.
After the ceremony, we headed to the reception at the Historic Stamey Center in Fallston, NC. The quaint streets of this old historic downtown were great for capturing the couple’s portraits. The inside of the Stamey Center was a blank canvas perfect for this clean and classic reception design. I loved the gold chairs with the white crips linens – truly timeless! The addition of some simple greenery was perfect for a North Carolina summer wedding.
Whether you’re planning a North Carolina summer wedding or a wedding anywhere, anytime, you can find out more about my wedding packages here. I can’t wait to hear from you!
