When your clients want to go to the mountains for their engagement session, of course you say yes! I love taking photos in the mountains for many reasons, but here is just a few: 1. Hello, it’s the mountains they’re gorgeous. 2. It’s usually much cooler up there then down here by the lake which is great in the summer when it’s super humid (except when it’s chilly and you’re freezing).
Sarah & Tyler’s enagement session was definitely the latter it was about 30 degress or so when I got to the mountains (we did a sunrise session, so it was a little cooler than normal). It was also Easter Sunday (Happy Easter), these two are in the racing family so when you have an off weekend you have to make it work and squeeze your engagement session in! I totally understand that life!
These two are such a cute couple they met through friends awhile back and the rest is history. I think it’s really special that Tyler actually proposed on Christmas ( who needs any other Christmas present than that?). I’d say that’s the best Christmas present anyone could ask for!
And did I mention we had a whole western town to ourselves to take photos? No, seriously Sarah’s parents have a neighbor who has his own little western town (Saloon and all…and a canon which may or may not have smashed my thumb when the canonball fell out? It was fine, but makes for a funny story.) It’s amazing what he has built on this property, I’m so glad we were able to wander around and capture these memories there. From the western town to the top of the mountains it was so much fun, I loved the town, the creek, we even saw deer during our session which I caught on camera. We included their girl Pumpkin & their love for each other & Auburn! I’d say it was a successful day!
Yes, this is the Cinderella carriage. Who gets their engagement pictures taken with the Cinderella carriage?? Sarah & Tyler did, kind of like a fairy tail!
Yep, he built that sweet little church too! ( I think you can get married there).
This is Pumpkin we can’t forget about her, she was a star in her own right. She did such an amazing job & seriously look how cute she is (she may have stole the show for a few minutes, but who could blame her) She was sweet as pie 🙂
Sarah & Tyler are big Auburn fans so we incorporated that into their session. (Tyler won’t mind if I say Go BUCKS right?, sorry Tyler)
